Support the DeKalb Library Foundation

The DeKalb Library Foundation celebrates its tenth year of support for the DeKalb County Public Library beyond public funding of library services. The mission of the DeKalb Library Foundation is to provide funding for educational, cultural and literary programs and services that enrich the lives of DeKalb County citizens.

It is our vision to build a more educated, literate community.

The Foundation supports:

• Children's programs
• Expanding book collections
• Family Literacy programs
• Literary programming at the Georgia Center for the Book

Literacy Endowment Campaign

The DeKalb Library Foundation was awarded a $125,000 matching challenge grant by the Fitzgerald Foundation for the Literacy Program Endowment. In December 2007, the Literacy Endowment Campaign began to raise the matching $125,000 by June 2009. Your contribution to this effort will keep library literacy programs ongoing in DeKalb County.

You can make a gift to the literacy program endowment, a general contribution or a gift to a local branch. Memorial or honor gifts purchase books that recognize that individual with an inscribed book plate. The DeKalb Library Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization.
