The Decatur Library is located in downtown Decatur just East of the old Square and the Decatur MARTA Station. The Library is on Sycamore Street between the Decatur Presbyterian Church and the Decatur Recreation Center. The driveway to the parking deck is between the Library and the Recreation Center.

From MARTA:

Go to Decatur Station (E-6). Take East exit. Cross Church Street on South side of Sycamore St. Library is second building on right.

Bus routes serving the Decatur Station are: 15 South Dekalb, 18 South Decatur, 19 Clairmont Road, and 123 Decatur/Candler Park.

From I-285 Southbound:

Take Stone Mountain Freeway (US 78) West (Exit 39A). About 1/2 mile after divided highway ends and becomes Scott Blvd. Bear left onto Church Street. Continue on Church Street about two miles to downtown Decatur. One block after crossing Ponce de Leon Ave. turn left onto Sycamore St. Library is second building on right.

From I-285 Northbound:

Get off at Covington Highway (US 278) (Exit 43) and turn left. Continue through downtown Avondale Estates (where Covington Hwy. becomes Main St.) past the Avondale MARTA Station. Turn right onto Commerce Drive at the railroad underpass. At second light, turn left onto Sycamore St. Library is building on left after 1 1/2 blocks.

From I-85:

Get off at Clairmont Road Exit (91) and go South on Clairmont about 4 1/2 miles until it dead-ends at the old Courthouse. Turn left onto Ponce de Leon Ave., go one block and turn right onto Church Street. Go one block and turn left onto Sycamore St. Library is second building on right.

From North (Chamblee, Toco Hills):

Take Clairmont Road South until it dead-ends at the old Courthouse. Turn left onto Ponce de Leon Ave., go one block and turn right onto Church Street. Go one block and turn left onto Sycamore St. Library is second building on right.

From I-20 (South):

Take Candler Road (Exit 65) North about 4 miles. After crossing railroad tracks, the road bears to the left and becomes E. Trinity Place but you want to continue straight on Candler for one block to Sycamore St. Turn left on Sycamore St.. Library is second building on left.

From East (Clarkston, Scottdale):

Take East Ponce de Leon West. Just past Avondale MARTA Station, turn left onto Sycamore St. Library is on right about 4 1/2 blocks.

From West (Midtown, Virginia-Highland):

Take Ponce de Leon East to downtown Decatur. After passing old Courthouse, turn right on Church St. Go one block and turn left onto Sycamore St. Library is second building on right.

From West (Downtown Atlanta):

Take DeKalb Avenue East to downtown Decatur (DeKalb Ave. becomes Howard in Decatur). Turn left on McDonough St. at Decatur High School. Turn right at light onto E. Trinity Place. Go one block and turn left onto Church St. Go one block and turn right onto Sycamore St. Library is second building on right.
