The architectural firm is Sizemore Group. The contractor is Hogan Construction Group LLC. Construction is expected to start in Fall 2009 and is projected to open for service in Fall 2010. The Scott Candler Library site is a 3.5 acre property adjacent to the South DeKalb Senior Center on Candler Road. It is proposed that this 12,000 square foot project will be constructed as part of a mixed use development at the Northwest corner of the Candler Road and Melville Avenue intersection. The development is intended to incorporate the library, a new Senior Center, and Senior housing.
