Northlake-Barbara Loar Library Closing for Construction

The Northlake-Barbara Loar Library's last day for service is April 30, 2008. The branch will be closing so that construction on the new library can begin. While the Northlake-Barbara Loar Library is closed, please visit a nearby branch:

• To the North: Embry Hills Library (4.6 miles)
• To the East: Tucker-Reid H. Cofer Library (3.1 miles)
• To the South: Clarkston Library (4.7 miles)

Since 1991, the Northlake-Barbara Loar branch has been serving the Northlake Mall area.  This community library serves patrons of all ages with a wide-range of materials, services and programming.   On March 3, 1997, the Northlake branch was renamed the Northlake-Barbara Loar Library in honor of the library system's third director.   The Northlake-Barbara Loar Library is currently closed for extensive renovations and expansion as part of the Library Bond Project.
