Our celebration of Decatur Arts Festival Week continues with a special appearance by the delightful Southern novelist Mary Alice Monroe. Author Ron Rash says the novel, ”like the Monarch butterfly, has a plentitude of beauty and wonder.” The author of 13 popular novels (The Beach House, Sweetgrass, Last Light Over Carolina ), Mary Alice Monroe is known for her intimate portrayals of women’s lives and their parallels with nature and human nature. She lives in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
