  • July 8, 2013 - Basic Vegetable Gardening with Lynwood Blackmon: Learn how to start a vegetable garden from the very first steps, including what you need, what to grow, how to care for your plants, when to harvest, and some solutions for potential problems.
  • July 15, 2013  - Gold Medal Plants with Gary Peiffer: A committee of Georgia horticulture educators and green industry representatives picks five to six different landscape plants each year which grow well throughout our state. These include a flower, a perennial, a tree, a shrub and often a vine. Come learn more about these special choices which can help you decide what you want to plant in your own yard or garden.
  • July 25, 2013 - Container Gardening with Sarah Brodd: This method is an easy way to grow herbs, veggies, flowers and more in a small space. Learn how to pick a container, build your potting mix, add plants, and care for them. This is a great way to add instant color to any location!

All classes are taught by staff of the DeKalb Cooperative Extension Office.
