This spring, the Library is offering patrons a chance to help needy people in the community and reduce their overdue library fines at the same time. Working in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank (http://www.acfb.org/), the Library will deduct $1.00 in overdue fines for each item of food a patron donates, to a maximum of $20.00 in fines. Food for Fines will run from April 5 through April 17. Library Director Darro Willey said patrons will be able donate food at all of the Library’s 20 branches which are currently open for service.
