English as a Second Language (ESL) classes provide basic through advanced instruction in the speaking, reading, writing, grammar and syntax of English for speakers of other languages. Library Programs & Services The Library provides print and audiovisual materials for ESL students and tutors; computers with instructional software; online programs; and space for tutoring, classes and meetings. We also have test preparation for the TOEFL Test. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand North American English as it is used in college and university settings. More information is available at the Official TOEFL Website. The Rosetta Stone and Tell Me More programs offer classes in English through the DCPL website. These programs can be used at any library internet computer, the Learning computers, or from outside the library with your library card and PIN. The Library also offers free ESL and Citizenship Classes.
