Online Resources
These programs can be used at any branch, or from your home computer using your Library card and PIN. Learning Computers In addition to the Learning Collection, the Library has access to instructional software. There are a total of eight computers at the Decatur, Clarkston, and Chamblee branches that have educational software. Some of the programs that can be found include programs related to workplace skills: Math for Everyday Living and Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing; and adult basic education: Vocabulary Connections. The programs vary from branch to branch. Please call or visit the branch nearest you to ask about what programs are on their learning computers. Audiovisual Equipment Ask staff at your local branch about using audiovisual equipment for learning purposes, especially when sight is limited or severely challenged. They can assist you with signing up for extra services or tell you how and where to use our special computer-based and audiovisual equipment. For more information, please call Literacy Services at 404.370.8450 ext. 2240. |
