Test Preparation (GED, ASVAB, & many others) The Library has test preparation for exams such as the GED, SAT, CDL, CCRT, and ASVAB. The General Education Development Exam (GED) gives students who do not have a diploma from an accredited high school earn a high school equivalency diploma. The Exam, made up of five parts, covers the following subjects: writing skills, social studies, science, literature and arts, and mathematics. More information about the GED is can be read at the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a group of eight (8) subtests that measures the test taker's aptitude for various careers in the military. Only four (4) of the eight subtests count toward your Armed Forces Qualifying Test (AFQT) score. The AFQT score decides whether or not you can enlist in the Armed Forces. More information is available from The ASVAB Program. DCPL Programs & Services All DCPL branches have materials which can help those studying for the GED and TOEFL exams. LearningExpressLibrary offers online practice tests for the GED, TOEFL, ASVAB, SAT, PRAXIS, and many other tests. Careers All DCPL branches provide print and audiovisual materials on career guidance, career skills for all ages, interview preparation, cover letters, and resumes. Resumes can be created and typed using Microsoft Word, which is available on all public access computers.
