DeKalb County Public Library's Strategic Plan Print E-mail

Over the past year, DeKalb County Public Library and its consulting firm, The Ivy Group, have worked to identify community needs and determine how the Library can meet them. We surveyed the public and staff, talked to community leaders and studied demographic trends in the County. We used our findings to develop eleven strategic initiatives we believe will broaden the scope and enhance the quality of service we provide our patrons. The plan includes recommendations for enlarging our collection, expanding our presence on the World Wide Web, reaching out to teens and seniors, and making our libraries more accessible community spaces.
