Sign up for a new Public Library license plate, sponsored by the Georgia Center for the Book at your local tag office. Funds received from the sale of this plate will go to purchase books for Georgia's public libraries. One thousand people must sign up for the license plate before 12/31/2008, so it can be produced.  With the application the state charges an initial one-time manufacturing fee of $25 for the production of a special-interest license plate. Subsequent renewals will cost $25 annually, not including the regular annual registration fee.
