Summer Reading Challenge 2022

School is out, sum­mer is here, and DeKalb Coun­ty Pub­lic Library is open! It’s so impor­tant that peo­ple of all ages (adults too!) read and do lit­er­a­cy activ­i­ties all sum­mer long to keep brains afloat. So, dive into the Oceans of Pos­si­bil­i­ties this summer. 

Sum­mer Read­ing Chal­lenge: Oceans of Possibilities

DeKalb Coun­ty Pub­lic Library’s Sum­mer Read­ing Chal­lenge runs June 1 through July 31, 2022. Patrons of all ages can participate!

Reg­is­ter in Beanstack (a web and mobile app used to track inde­pen­dent read­ing time) begin­ning May 23, 2022. Read and com­plete activ­i­ties to earn badges and win prizes.

Sign up by age group: Young Chil­dren (0 – 5); School Age Chil­dren (6 – 12); Teens (13 – 18); Adults (18 and up).

Kids who com­plete their age-lev­el chal­lenge (Young and School Age Chil­dren, Teens) will receive a free book and will be entered into a raf­fle for cool prizes. Adults will also be entered into raf­fles based on badges earned.

All read­ing and activ­i­ties must be logged by July 31, 2022.
